Is the educational system in the United Kingdom effective??

The UK education system is reputed for its excellent quality of education, interactive teaching methodology, top-ranking universities, and great student satisfaction.  Education in the United Kingdom is divided into four sections primary education, secondary education, further education, and higher education. Children in the UK have to legally attend primary and secondary which runs from 5 years old up to 16 years old. Usually, the main stages 1 and 2 will start with primary school and after 11 years onwards old will go onto secondary school and complete main stages 3 and 4. Students are detailedly evaluated at every stage. The main evaluation happens when students at the age of sixteen when students are about to pursue their GCSE. Once students have done with their GCSE, they have the selection to pursue further education and to get employment. Thre students who are rich enough can pay and take extra tuition fees to get into schools.

Time and effective measures have been taken of school leavers and the UK adults showing adult functional illiteracy as high as 20% of the population innumeracy as high of 40%. the program for international students assessments measures the of a 15-year-old child in mathematics science and reading. The education system of the UK is not fit for particular purposes, which is slowing down the country’s overall education performance.

If students are coming from any other country they had to pass the IELTS exam to enter into the universities in the UK. IELTS is a language assessment test used by universities worldwide to assess their prospective international student’s language skills. If we talk about the UK education system it is planned for the empires. The people who used to study in private universities they enter get higher jobs such as the officers for the navy and the army at the same time the public state educations gave the ranks of the other education they required. During the 1950s and 1960s, public education became entirely equal and meritocratic. Children were judged based on merit and aptitude and not on wealth. The best people went to grammar school, those with others went to a technical modern school. The private education system fully faded away because it couldn’t compete with other institutions.

After that, the empire left, and when the political power was brought into existence and they made changes to the education system. So the students who were selected on the merit bases were considered to be incorrect. Learning anything will also make them wrong so they introduced the liberal education system. The teacher’s unions were the biggest adversary of education and the children. The private systems teach the students how to become successful in the real world, and they also trained people to tackle the problems of the real world. The destructhion that they bought in the education system was so vast that the middle-class family separated their children from the state system and private education was in demand. The public education institution was programmed their students in socialistic ideology such as multiculturalism.

These days it is considered politically incorrect for anyone to be unprivileged to have a degree. As a result polytechnics turns into large universities and degree that is not in so much demand d are now used randomly. Most of these degrees are useless for the students and the economy. These have been swapped by academically far easier and ineffective subjects like the liberal arts. They are entirely useless for the students and society and extremely waste of time.

There are a lot of bad teachers for decades and it was really difficult to get rid of them. Just one bad teacher will affect the lives of thousands of children. The best teaching would be required and get rid of the bad teachers who couldn’t teach properly. Only the education system should be improved if there are good teachers available. Next, a system of systematic pupil testing system and evaluation is required. Students who are weak in studies need to be taken proper care of by the teachers, instead of just telling them to sit back and listen the teacher should make them sit at the front and properly guide them through each concept. SO the evaluation is fair enough for the smart and the less able students as well. And then we must take into comsiderantionswhat the subject to taught and how to teach them to the students. STEM subject has to be the first priorty.

The University of Cambridge and Oxford advocates that the UK has the best education system in the world. However, this is severally incorrect. In 2018 the UK government altered the grading system from A* to U to number grades from 9-1. This left many people confused and nervous as to what grade obtained.

Conclusion

Overall the education in the UK considered being good if only they have proper faculties interactive teaching methodology, top-ranking universities, and great student satisfaction
