What is PTE-A
PTE Academic is a computer –based international English language test for non-native speakers who want to study at institutions where English is the main language of instruction.

The registration fee is INR 8,000 and the test duration is 3 hours.

How do PTE Academic scores align with IELTS and TOEFL scores?
PTE Academic offers a high level of reliability and validity; therefore both you and those institutions to whom you send scores can be confident that your score is an accurate measure of your academic English language ability. You will be notified by email that your scores are available to view online within usually five business days from taking your test.
You will be able to view your score report through a secure online website using a unique login and password and then you can designate the institutions or agencies to which you would like your scores forwarded by Pearson.
Within just 48 hours of you allocating your results to your chosen programs, your selected institutions will be able to retrieve the scores from a secure online score reports website making the overall administration process easier and much faster.
The online score report has a number of different sections:
- The first section contains your personal details and photograph
- In the middle of the report, your Overall Score is shown
- The final section of the score report shows more detail on how you performed on the test
The individual scores for Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing are shown, along with the scores for the six Enabling Skills.
You may find this useful to understand your strengths and weaknesses, and to provide focus on the areas where you performed less well and could focus your future study.
